Today we traveled 100 miles from Havana to Hardin, IL in 12 hours and 20 minutes.  It was a long day and as I said to the Captain, "It was rather like being pecked to death by a duck."  We are tied to a floating dock at Mel's River Dock Restaurant in Hardin and Ralph went into the restaurant to pay the dock rent.  The owner asked if we were coming for dinner and Ralph said no, we had already eaten while underway.  Mel then packed  up a sample of their beef brisket to taste and it's too bad we had already had dinner because it was sooooo tender and delicious.

We decided to go back for dessert, however, and I had homemade peach pie and the Captain had rock slide pie which was chocolate, caramel, pecan and a little cheesecake with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.  Both were excellent.  This was the highlight of our day!!  Only one photo this evening...tonight's back yard.
