We weighed anchor at 6:45 AM and left Mill Creek, Solomons, MD.  It was 46 degrees and winds were 15 gusting to 20.  Although today was better than the past two days on the Chesapeake Bay, we still did a bit of hobby-horsing.  Around 7:20 AM we passed Cove Point Light in Calvert County, MD circa 1828.  At 12:30 PM we passed Thomas Point Light, the most photographed lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay, circa 1875.

We passed by the Naval Academy Sailing Team either racing or practicing and arrived at Annapolis about 2:00 PM. We requested permission from the dockmaster to fill up our water tanks and to hose the salt accumulation off the boat.  They were very nice about that and we were happy to clean up the boat for the showing tomorrow.

Our friends, Claudia and Bob, invited us to be their guests for dinner at the Annapolis Yacht Club.  Dinner was wonderful -- of course we had crab cakes and I had cream of crab soup, too.  Thank you so much for your gracious hospitality and lively conversation, Claudia and Bob.  Next time, you'll be our guests either in Annapolis or Florida or both!

Here are a few of today's photos:
