It was nice to wake up and not have to move the boat this morning.  It was a beautiful sunny morning so we dinghied to the town dock and tied up.  We walked up Main Street to have breakfast at one of our favorite spots, Chick & Ruth's. On our way we met a woman with another Portie -- this one named Cee Cee, and a show dog.  Ralph tried to make up to her, but she was very skittish.  The owner gave him some treats to offer and then she made up with him.  Too bad we didn't have Striper with us.  They would have been cute together.  And I forgot to take a picture of her.

At Chick & Ruth's I enjoyed a crab omelette and the Captain enjoyed creamed chipped beef northern style.  There's an 8:30 AM tradition at Chick & Ruth's and that is the reciting of the pledge of allegiance by everyone in the place.  God bless America.  Afterward we took a little walk.  We needed bread and sliced ham and roast beef which we purchased right at Chick & Ruth's.  Very convenient, as there is not much of a grocery store in town. There is a free trolley, however, that goes to Grau's Grocery.

We showed the boat this afternoon so we'll see later on if there is any serious interest in making an offer.

This evening we were treated to Wednesday Night Races here in Annapolis.  The final leg of the race entails the participants to sail through the mooring field and Ralph took movies and I took lots of photos of the event.  It brought back very good memories of Atlantic City Race Week when we used to race on Eddie Stanton's Serendipity.  Tonight we saw "Aunt Jean", a J-boat that we raced against years ago in Atlantic City.  I took their photo and called out that we used to race against Aunt Jean in AC and several of the crew called back "That's US!!"  It was fun to make the connection.

It was  70 degrees tonight and we sat on the fly bridge eating ice cream -- something we always enjoy.  Striper is much improved and in fact, back to her perky old self.

Here are a few photos from today:

"Ego Alley" in Annapolis, called this because very pricey boats always dock here -- not yet this season

Armadillo's is here, but no longer Mexican and the hardware store is gone
