Happy Birthday to Lorraine! We were able to speak with Lorraine a little this morning. She is improving and the neurosurgeon said she has "rounded the bend" in her recovery. She is able to write and get up out of bed and eat real food now. Thank you for your prayers on her behalf, and please continue them. She was transferred today to a "step-down" unit which is intermediary between ICU and a regular room. All positive news today.
We weighed anchor at 7:00 AM and headed south from Frankfort to the Village of Pentwater. They have a beautiful anchorage, however, the depths are around 30' and the forecast is for south winds. Ralph decided it would be better to take a slip for the night instead so we are tied up at the Pentwater Municipal Marina which is close to everything. There is a laundromat less than a block away so I was able to do some wash. We went for a walk through town and had dinner at The Brown Bear recommended to us by some locals and it was quite good. We traveled 50 miles today and are heading to bed early -- it's been a long day. Attached are some photos:
