Today was a day to regroup and relax. We both slept a little late and both caught up on our email, blog and Facebook. After lunch we took a walk into the quaint little town of Parry Sound. Naturally, we stopped at the The Country Gourmet Bakery -- delicious!! We stopped to take a tour of Hallelujah, the DeFever 44 docked a few boats from us. It's a beautiful boat. We met the owners, Barb and Dave, at the Looper Rendezvous in Cape Coral last winter. It was nice to see them again.
On the way back we stopped at the office of Festival of the Sound and bought tickets to tonight's performance at the Charles Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts which is located about 20 steps from the marina. Through July 18 - August 12, they are presenting the Music for a Summer Evening series every evening. Tonight's performance was "Passion 'N Tune" featuring 5 musicians and a singer. It was a fun evening out and we thoroughly enjoyed the music and met some new friends.
Coming back to the boat we met a young girl with a portie pup. We stopped to chat and Ralph said "I'm going to bring my dog up here right now" and off he ran to get Striper. Roxy and Striper had fun running around a little bit and we had a nice chat.
