We left the Parry Big Sound
Marina in time to catch the 10:00 AM opening of the Parry Island swing
bridge. We traveled 14 miles to Echo
Bay, a beautiful little anchorage. We dinghied around the little coves in the
anchorage and discovered a deadhead log – we went back to the boat and got an
empty detergent bottle to make a float that Ralph tied onto the deadhead to mark it. We saw several other deadheads around here
and someone else had marked them with varied and sundry floats. In our travels, Striper zeroed in on a little
creature along the water’s edge – it may have been a mink or a ferret, but
Striper sure was intent watching it lope along.
We met Jean and Larry on Sea
Dweller who also anchored here mid-afternoon.
They had met Debbie and Jay on the Trent-Severn and Jay invited them to
come to dinner with us this evening at Henry’s.
The forecast for rain finally came through with a light shower as we
dinghied to Henry’s, then it stopped. By
the time dinner was over, it had started up again. Jay navigated us safely back to our
boats. We all enjoyed the delicious pickerel,
for which Henry’s is famous. It was a
nice relaxing day.

A lot of people come to Henry's by seaplane "Fly 'N Dine" out of Parry Sound. |
