I awoke at 5:15 with the sun streaming in the windows.  What a beautiful sight after so much rain!  I've attached a photo of this morning's sunrise.

We weighed anchor at 8:00 AM and traveled north to Gaine's Marina in Rouses Point, NY arriving at 9:20 to a beautiful full service marina.  This is our last stop before crossing the border into Canada.  It's a great place.  They charge $1.50 a foot which is quite reasonable, they have new floating docks and the owner met us to help tie up.  They include electric, water, wifi and they loaned us a cart to take our laundry to the local laundromat just down the road.  Anyone who knows me, knows I believe doing laundry is therapeutic.  We did all our wash in about an hour-and-a-half which worked out nicely.  I just feel better already!!

We took our clean fluffy clothes back to the boat, returned the cart, and took a walk into town for lunch at Lakeside Coffee.  After waiting more than a half hour for two panini sandwiches, we finally asked if there was a problem.  Well, seems they forgot about us and didn't make them.
It only took about 10 minutes more, we had a good laugh, and the paninis were delicious and the server offered us free bakery items which was very thoughtful.

Back at Gaine's, Naomi the owner, loaned us her van to drive to the PriceChopper grocery store in Champlain, the next village.   The prices and selection were great and since we know already that food costs in Canada are exorbitant -- and that there's tax on everything, we stocked up.  Thank you, Naomi and Joe for the use of the van!!  While I put the groceries and laundry away, the captain took Striper up in the yard to play fetch and burn off some energy.   Then he and I walked a mile to and from Angelo's Restaurant in Champlain and shared a calzone for dinner.

Rouses Point is a lovely village and I took some photos of the beautiful homes along Lake Street, the main drag.  We highly recommend Gaine's Marina -- they're friendly and helpful and the place is immaculate.
