Update on Ralph's Mom:

Lorraine had a headache and was unable to sleep two night's ago and when we talked to her yesterday, she still had the headache and her speech was impaired and she sounded quite vague.  We attributed this to lack of sleep and the headache.  However, this morning, the neurologist spoke with Ralph and said they had done a repeat CAT scan and found the area where she had bleeding in the brain as a result of her fall, had increased.  They were transferring her from the rehabilitation center to the Trauma Center of the City Division of the Atlantic City Medical Center..

After examination and reading of the CAT scan, the neurosurgeon called Ralph late this afternoon to say he wanted to operate this evening to relieve the pressure and drain the excess blood.

The neurosurgeon just called Ralph.  The surgery is over and it went well. Lorraine is awake and responsive and in intensive care in the City Division of the Atlantic City Medical Center where she will be for a few days, then she'll be in a regular room a few more days.  When she is able, she will be transferred back to Betty Bacharach Rehabilitation Center for continuation of PT and OT.  Thank you for your prayers for her -- please continue.  We truly appreciate them.
