Janice and Ralph at the Cupola Room
This morning our friend, Janice, picked us up at 8:00 AM and we were off to The Cupola Room in Harbor Springs for breakfast.  Janice introduced us to her friends,  the owners, Nancy and Dale.  They only serve breakfast and lunch in this charming little home converted into a restaurant.  They had a choice of five entrees, all of which sounded so good, it was hard to decide.  Janice ordered a tomato stuffed with scrambled eggs, smothered in cheese with bacon bits, Ralph ordered cinnamon roll French toast, and I ordered lemon glazed pancakes.  What a great breakfast and delightful conversation.  Janice drove us all over Harbor Springs and Petoskey pointing out interesting sites.
We came back to Say Good-Bye for lunch, then Janice and I took off again for a "girls day out."  We did some shopping and I was able to find all the things on my list that I couldn't find since we left New York in Wal-Mart and Meijer's and Janice made stops at Johan's Bakery and Bob-In's Custard for dessert tonight. She's invited us to her house for a whitefish dinner.  She and I laughed and laughed today as we got to know each other better.  She's really a love and we had a wonderful time together and Ralph had a relaxing afternoon catching up on the mail, phone calls, banking, etc.  Tonight's dinner was delicious and we had a great time chatting.  She even told me to bring over my laundry and I could do it at her house while we had dinner.  Thank you so much for everything, Janice.  May God richly bless you, dear friend!

Update on Ralph's mom is that she is still in the rehab facility but coming along with PT and OT.  It's important for her to eat better, but she doesn't have much of an appetite, but the doctors are hopeful that will improve as her condition improves.  The therapy sessions are hard on her, but she's making some progress.  Thank you for continued prayer for her.
