This afternoon when the tide changed we departed C Quarters Marina and are now anchored off beautiful Carrabelle Beach.  We're heeding the advice of the C Quarters "porch and rocker bunch" to hold off making the Big Bend crossing for several days until the weather is more favorable. 

There are a few anchorages with good holding around the Carrabelle area so we will be anchoring out for a few days.  Even though $1 per foot for dock rent is reasonable, it gets expensive days on end.  We've got internet connectivity, cell phone coverage, satellite tv, a cute dog, and each other.  Life is good.

Today we walked to the post office so Ralph could send a check to cover dinner for two to his friend, John, for losing a political bet.  Bon appetit, John and Valerie!!

En route to the anchorage, we passed a Looper on a jet ski.  When he told us he was making the Great Loop, too, we looked at each other and said "Wow!  Glad it's not us!"
