HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!

We spent the day with our friends, Neil and Becky Hoch, celebrating Thanksgiving with good food, good friends, and lots of lively conversation and laughs.  It was a perfect day.   We had a wonderful time.

We are so blessed to live in America and have so much to be thankful for -- especially for Baby Ashton soon to be born.  Thank you, Neil and Becky, for your gracious hospitality in your beautiful new home.

Here are a few photos from today:

Eveything was soooo delicious!!

Hmmm...what's for dessert?

Pumpkin, apple and coconut cream pies...have a slice of each!!

  1. Glad to see you two had a great Thanksgiving and so did Melissa and I. All the years we lived on the little DeFever we could never cook a turkey. Would not fit in the oven.

I’m glad to see that you are still posting from time to time.

Keep us up to date once in awhile. I’d like to see how the new boat and the DeFever fit on the dock. We would have to have a new dock built to do the same. Remember your loop isn't over - you are just taking a break.

Looking forward to seeing you guys again here on the east coast, and maybe cruising together.

    1. Hi Mike: Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving too. My plan if we had not been home for the holiday was to roast a small turkey breast in the micro/convention oven. I've done a pot roast and lots of baked items, but never a chicken or turkey. It cooks faster than a conventional oven. I'm glad we are home, though.

I've posted a special post just for you and Melissa to see how Say Good-Bye and the little Mako fit. In the spring we had the small pilings removed and large pilings put in as well as electricity on the dock. It works well. So take a look at the photos.

Also on the 21st we went to the 26th American Sand Sculpting Championship on Ft. Myers Beach. I've posted a few photos of this amazing competition. The photos don't do the sculptures justice, but you get the idea.

Looking forward to seeing you both again, too.
      C.
