Today we were off the mooring at St. Augustine at 7:10 AM and the weather was comfortable. We traveled 68 miles today north toward Jacksonville. We crossed the St. Johns River, went through the Amelia River where we saw a boat hard aground -- the water levels quite low -- and on into Fernandina Beach.
We chatted on the radio with John, our friend on Fet-Esch and Ken on Corrina and up close and personal with Peggy and Hans on Aqua Vitae at Fernandina Harbor. We also saw Mosey tied up there, but Ken and Darla were not onboard.
We were making good time and continued north to Cumberland Island, GA -- that would be Joejah for all you southerners. We anchored next to a beautiful state park. This evening after dinner we were treated to a mama dolphin and her calf swimming close to the boat. They are just majestic. We never tire of watching these beautiful creatures.
