HONORING OUR BELOVED VETERANS TODAY! GOD BLESS THEM!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Today we traveled 58 miles from Isle of Palms to Blackburn Bay anchorage in Nokomis, Florida. Thank you, Suzanne and Jeff Wright, for your gracious hospitality. The Wrights offer the use of their private dock with electricity and water to boaters traveling on the ICW in the Isle of Palms area.
We thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine and warm breezes as we traveled on the Florida Intracoastal Waterway. I baked some muffins and a chocolate cake as we traveled along. We're looking forward to arriving in Cape Coral in a couple days.
Tonight we're anchored in Blackburn Bay near the little town of Nokomis, Florida. It's a pretty anchorage just off the ICW.
I'm pleased to say that after 93 days, Ralph's Mom was discharged from the rehab center and went home November 6. She'll have some in-home help for a while and she's very happy to be home. Thank you for all your prayers for her.
Attached are a few photos of our day:

Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteGood news about Ralph’s mom.
I’m a pessimist - unlike Ralph I collected my bets. Wish I had lost though.
Hope you’ll stop by on your way north - maybe we’ll follow you up the coast.
I’m going to miss the blog.

Hi Mike: It's good to be on terra firma! Yes, it is good news about Ralph's mom. She and his dad were out grocery shopping a bit today so she is feeling stronger and better.
DeleteWe hope we can stop by on our way north next spring. And if you are in our neck of the woods this winter, come on over for dinner.
I might post on the blog from time to time. I'll miss it too -- it's sort of become an appendage. Ha Ha! Keep in touch. We'd love to see you and Mrs. T. again.
